Hello!

Hello, everyone! I'm starting this blog to share what I am learning while earning my M.Ed. and trying to improve as a teacher in the Middle East. My biggest issue teaching English to young men (usually men in their early 20's) here is a lack of motivation, so I am trying to create lessons that appeal to them and thus engage them in the classroom. I usually teach 8- or 10-week courses (with 2 of those weeks typically spent preparing for and taking exams), so I don't have much time with my students and I need to make the most of it, as many of my students are beginners. I hope that by sharing my experiences I can help other teachers and I'd love to hear whatever you might have to share.
